The development of this  website signifies the Council’s  commitment to providing timely, accurate and relevant information, a critical element of  any effective education system. The re-establishment of the Council’s website is part of a comprehensive strategy in keeping our valued stakeholders informed as we recognize that the Education is a knowledge-based sector.  The site is user-friendly and carefully designed to meet the needs of a range of stakeholders  inclusive of parents, teachers, school board members and students. As partners in the Education sector we hope that you find the information useful as we work together in improving the quality of educational services in our country.

Please join us for our official “Call for Volunteers” to serve on a School Board!

Do you have a passion for helping Children? Have you always wanted to do more? The National Council on Education (NCE) in collaboration with the Ministry of Education is extending invitation to interested qualified persons to participate in a vital aspect of our schools’ development. Volunteers are being sought to serve on school Boards in the following Educational Regions:

  • Region 2 (St. Mary, Portland, Thomas).
  • Region 4 (St. James, Hanover and Westmoreland)

The National Council on Education (NCE) is inviting interested qualified persons to participate in a vital aspect of our schools’ development.  Volunteers are being sought to serve on school Boards in St. Thomas, Portland, and St. Mary (Region 2).  The list of schools can be downloaded below:

INDIVIDUALS/ORGANIZATIONS MAY SUBMIT NAMES OF VOLUNTEERS FOR INSTITUTIONS IN REGION 2

Applications must be submitted no later than Wednesday, March 30, 2012.

Application forms can be obtained at www.moe.gov.jm or through the Ministry of Education’s Regional Office located at Building 11,
2- 4 National Heroes Circle, Kingston 4.
