Improved CSEC Results in English and Mathematics Reflect Progress in Jamaica’s Education System

The Ministry of Education, Skills, Youth and Information has announced significant improvements in the 2025 CSEC results for English A and Mathematics. Pass rates increased to 75% in English A and 60% in Mathematics, reflecting the positive impact of targeted interventions, including literacy and numeracy programmes, enhanced teacher training, and stronger student support systems.

Minister Dana Morris Dixon highlighted these achievements as evidence that Jamaica’s education strategies are working, particularly in addressing historically low Mathematics performance. She commended educators, parents, and students for their efforts while reaffirming the Government’s commitment to reaching even higher levels of student success across the country.
